USCIS announced the expansion of Premium Processing Service (PPS) to applicants submitting a Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status for F-1, F-2, M-1, M-2, J-1, or J-2 nonimmigrant status. At the time of this writing, the Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service will be accepted for a pending I-539 or when filed together with the I-539 when seeking to change to the aforementioned statuses (F-1, F-2, M-1, M-2, J-1, J-2). The additional and separate fee for PPS is currently $1,750. 

This expansion is only for change in status requests and not extension of stays in a certain status. Additionally, the I-907 has to be submitted in the same format as the I-539 was submitted via online or a paper form mailed into USCIS. Biometrics must also be submitted before an application can be moved to PPS and the PPS timeframe does not apply until biometrics are submitted. The guaranteed processing time is 30 days for the I-539.
